One day before the webcomic comes online!
So I’m taking advantage of today to make a little (big) dump of random school sketches.
A still life assignment in charcoal.
This went pretty well until the day it was due and I realised I hadn’t finished the thing.
I rushed it and ended up botching up a few places.
The parts that I didn’t mess up aren’t half bad though.
Below are some close ups of things I did right:
This is some sort of tennis ball dog toy, with a squeaky furry tail.
Look at the little hairs on the tennis ball.
First time I ever drew clear glass and I’m pretty proud of how it came out.
The glass is actually resting a bit on the metal tall glass, so it wasn’t completely straight.
This was a very very last minute painting.
I had to paint something shiny using a handmade black paint.
I did this 10 minutes before the thing was due and handed it in while it was still wet.
That black thing holding the paintbrush up, used to be my coffee cup… that I used to hold my dirty paint water.
I’ve got to find more time to do my course work hahah…. *sigh* not going to happen.
This is a still life in oil pastels. First time I used them and geez, did I choose dumb items to draw.
That’s a hot pink plastic purse, the edge of a red duffel bag, the shadow of a bow, a teeny tiny yellow bouncy ball, a beige and green pair of plastic tall cheep glasses and what might have been a moldy towel I found.
You can’t tell what I drew because at the time, it had seemed like a good idea to focus on the wee ball.
Please don’t ask me who this is. I just hope you laugh as much as we all do when you see this.
Mon Dou, I can’t stop laughing at that ugly mug!
Another still life I forgot to do and had to whip it up last minute. Oil pastel and my water bottle… I just now realise I must have lost.
